This week’s tips for success
- For the burrito bowl, most of the ingredients are quickly pulled together. The chicken is really the only thing that requires a little bit of time to cook other than the rice(make a little extra rice and put it aside for Thursday’s meal. This is a great one to meal prep over the weekend if you are short on time that evening. Make the pico and the corn salsa on Sunday, and use a boil-in-the-bag rice to keep it really simple that evening.
- Leftover Repurpose Tip: Put leftover burrito bowl ingredients in a tortilla shell for tacos or as a burrito for lunch during the week.
- Soups are a great, easy meal, and it’s all about putting it all in one pot and letting it cook while you unwind from the day or helping the kiddos with homework or running to after-school activities. This can also be made in the slow cooker. And don’t forget soups are always a great take-along for lunch. Put it in a thermos or warm this up in the microwave for a hot lunch.
- The Ultimate Spaghetti hits the spot for cheesy, saucy comfort food. It has that “gather round the table” feel that brings everyone together to catch up and make those lasting memories. The dish takes a little time but uses some shortcuts, so you are not in the kitchen all day. You can put this together before heading off to church and pop it in the oven when you get home. This dish is a meal in itself, but you can pair it with a quick and simple salad or side dish like air fryer green beans.
How to use the meal plans
Keep in mind the following tips when using these meal plans.
Each meal plan includes a printable guide complete with a place for jotting down a shopping list. I also offer a way to generate a shopping list via my recipe cards.

- You can print each recipe to prepare dinner and make a manual grocery list! Clicking on the name of each recipe on the meal plan will take you directly to that recipe!
- Right-click each link and hit open in a new tab so you have all the recipes open at once. Then, hit the “jump to recipe” button and print off the recipes. There is a check box to check off ingredients you already have. This will make shopping a bit easier.
- OR generate a shopping list from the recipe card– see the instructions below for Adding to Shopping Cart.
Use your device
(for those who would rather not print the list)
- Save the PDF or bookmark this page for handy reference.
- Then use your mobile device or tablet to open each recipe while in the kitchen. Click on each recipe you would like to use to open the post. Scroll or jump to the recipe card. (Use the Cook Mode on the recipe card to keep the device screen from going dark)
- To generate a shopping list from the recipe card. Click on the “Add to Shopping Cart” button for each recipe to which you want items added. Once finished adding all recipes, click the “Go to shopping cart button” on the last recipe you would like to add. There, you will see all the recipes listed. Next, click the shopping cart or buggy icon at the top right of the page. From here, you can edit and customize your shopping list. Then you can print or email the list.
