Nothing says home like a pot of homemade meat sauce. Ground sirloin, tomatoes, tomato sauce and just the right seasonings come together to give you this delicious Italian Bolognese.
1 to 1.25poundsof ground sirloinyou may also like to use half ground pork
2 14.5ouncecans of diced tomatoes or whole tomatoes
½cupred wine
1 29ouncecan of tomato sauce
2teaspoonstomato paste
1teaspoondried oregano
¼teaspoondried basil
¼teaspooncrushed red pepper
1teaspoonsugaror a little more if you like it sweeter

In a dutch oven begin sautéing ground sirloin (you could also use half ground pork as well), add in onion and cook until done. Add in wine and tomatoes (if you use whole tomatoes smash in a bowl with hands before adding) and cook for 10 minutes.
Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, oregano, basil, red pepper and sugar. Cook for at least two hours. Ok you can cook less time by I think it is best cooked all afternoon.
Serve over your favorite pasta with grated fresh parmesan cheese on top and a crusty garlic bread.
